Nanoparticles for catalysis

Metals at nanoscale show enhanced catalytic properties. Importantly, many parameters such as nanoparticle shape, size, crystallinity, and composition, metal-support interaction, and capping ligands can produce remarkable effects on the catalytic properties of metal nanoparticles. We are interested in studying the capability of well-defined nanostructured systems to modulate chemical reactions, focusing on their kinetic aspects; catalytic activity, and changes in the reaction mechanisms.
