The Galician Night of Researchers project is an event associaciated with MSCA e Cidadanía, European Union iniciative funded by Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions. Call identifier HORIZON-MSCA-2023-CITIZENS-01 (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions European Researchers Night 2024-2025).
This year the event took place on September 27th at Redeiras building of Universidade de Vigo. FunNanoBio Group members participated in the event with a scientific stand to show the public the projects currently developing in the group.

Galician Night of Researchers project HORIZON-MSCA-2022-CITIZENS-01 (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions European Researchers’ Night 2022-2023) is a scientific dissemination event promoted by the European Commission, which takes place simultaneously in more than 370 European cities since 2005. Unidade de Cultura of University of Vigo organised this activity in which our group participated. The G-Night 2023 was held on the 29th September at Edificio Redeiras in O Berbés (Vigo).
IES Antón Alonso Ríos organised the 2nd edition of their Scientific Conference where the students presented the scientific projects developed during the academic year. Furthermore, students could discuss about them and find motivating experiences that encourage research and scientific vocations. On 25th April, Isabel Pastoriza was invited to enlighten the students about nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Researchers of our group participated in the event called “A ciencia que vén con nome de muller” (April 21st), organised by the Unidade de Cultural of the UVigo. This activity held place at the Berbés in Vigo and the main objective was to promote among the young people the scientific and technological vocations alongside with showing to the society the work that the researchers develop on their basis day.

On 31st March, Isabel Pastoriza Santos was interviewed by the students (4ºESO) of IES Sánchez Cantón about her career and research work. Marián Fernández Villarino (sports), Eva Lantarón Caeiro (physiotherapy), and Beatriz Legerén Lago (videogames) were also interviewed to share all their research experiences to the students.

CINBIO opened its doors to show the public the work that we made in the centre. Visitors had the opportunity to visit the installations and participate in the activities during the day, which included the participation in the recording of the program “Efervescencia” hosted by Manuel Vicente. The Real Academia Galega de Ciencias (RAGC) awarded the Antonio Casares Rodríguez medal (Chemistry and Geology section) to Isabel Pastoriza Santos for his advances in the development of scientific projects, such as in the diagnosis of diseases such as Covid-19. The European Researchers’ Night (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) is a Europe-wide public event focus in the divulgation of the science. This year, the event took place in 29 countries on Friday 24th September 2021. Our group went to O Tinglado, Vigo, to participate in this event.
