Professors Luis Liz Marzán and Miguel Correa Duarte proposed the chemist Nicholas A. Kotov to become the 29th honorary doctor by the University of Vigo. It was approved unanimously in September of last year by the Department of Physical Chemistry of UVigo and the members of the Governing Council of UVigo. Kotov will receive this distinction thanks to his achievements in the field of biomimetic nanostructures, which have enabled important technological advances, and for his a long history of collaborations with researchers of the University of Vigo.
