Juan Pablo Hervés Beloso

Ph. D. from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1991. Postdoctoral fellow with Lyn Williams at Durham University (United Kingdom). Since 1992 he is at the University of Vigo, currently as professor. His research has focused on the study of chemical reactivity in different reaction media. It has been studied reactions of biological relevance in water and in colloidal aggregates as micelles, microemulsions and vesicles. In recent years, research moved on nanocatalysis studies. The catalytic efficiency of gold and silver metallic nanoparticles has been studied, both in a colloidal medium and supported on different substrates. For this, electron transfer reactions have been used as model reactions.
